Reviews and Ratings
Chena Hot Springs has both its charms and drawbacks. The hot springs were definitely the highlight, offering a lovely soaking experience. However, the overall tourist experience felt a bit overwhelming and not as personal as I would have liked. The service left much to be desired, especially given the issues we faced during our stay. While the natural beauty of the place is magnificent, the facilities and some experiences felt quite lacking.
Chena Hot Springs has some unique experiences to offer, like the geothermal springs and ice museum, but the accommodations and service could use some serious improvement. While the hot springs area is well-maintained and enjoyable, the staff seemed untrained and unresponsive, which detracted from our stay. The dining options are limited, and the pricing feels a bit steep for what you get.
My stay at Chena Hot Springs was a mixed bag. The location is stunning, especially for soaking in the mineral water during winter. However, I struggled with the room's amenities, particularly the hot water issue. The food at the restaurant was good, but the limited dining options became repetitive after a few days. Overall, it's a charming place but needs some improvements in service and facilities.
Overall, my experience at Chena Hot Springs was quite mixed. While the lodge offered cozy accommodations and a unique opportunity to view the Northern Lights, the lack of proper service and unexpected charges for activities left much to be desired. The hot springs had its charm, but the cleanliness could use some improvement. Even though the restaurant served delicious food, the overall experience was marred by several inconveniences.
I had high hopes for this place after hearing about the hot springs, but I was disappointed with the overall experience. While the springs were a highlight, the cleanliness and upkeep of the accommodations left much to be desired. Also, for the price, some amenities felt overlooked like a second towel or reliable internet access. Overall, it felt more like a tourist trap than a genuine getaway.
